New CMYK Video Uploaded to YouTube

We printed this job a while ago but finally had some time to upload the Video to YouTube. This Video shows the process of 4 color process plus a 5th spot color. We specialize in this process and run CMYK screen printing jobs at least 3-4 times per week. Many local shops avoid this type of printing because of the inconsistency in the artwork separations. We refined our artwork process and can replicate any artwork both on light shirts as well as dark garments.

Enjoy!

Starting a Clothing Line? How to launch a quality product.

We see many clothing line come and go. In this market place it is difficult to get your clothing line recognized by the consumer. Prints are getting larger, inks are changing and shirts keep getting thinner and slimmer.

So how do you know where to start?

Some screen printers try selling you on the cheapest t-shirts possible. While these t-shirts may help you when you start out just keep in mind “would I wear this t-shirt?”. Chances are the cheaper shirts aren’t going to help you clothing line.

The other side we see is clothing lines want to use only the best being an American Apparel only clothing line. While the American Apparel shirts are nice we have found some much cheaper yet comparable in quality brands. Most clothing line should expect to hand out a lot of free shirts. Did I not capitalize that……A LOT. Try handing out 100 free shirts when you know the shirts alone are $5….ouch.

Make sure you know which shirt will work for your clothing line.

The next important aspect is your artwork. What is going to be the next big thing? Large solid blocks of text? Intricate grunge artwork weaved with printed foil? I don’t know the answer to that but we can at least help you so that when it comes time to print your artwork it is ready to go and wont need to be redrawn. Check out our artwork requirements.

Now that you have selected your shirt and have solid artwork it’s time to decide what ink you will be using on your shirts. There are advantages and dis-advantages to every ink we use here. You can use a technique called discharge printing which bleaches the dye out of the garment only leaving a soft feel to the garment.

Landscape Company Shirts

T-Shirts for a landscape company can be such a huge expense. The constant wear and tear along with the dirt and other outdoor elements wreck havoc on t-shirts. What we recommend printing on for landscape companies is a 50/50 blend or 100% pre-shrunk cotton dark colored shirt. The 50/50 allows for the shirts to be washed repeatedly with out much shrinkage. The downfall of 50/50 is that they are limited on color options.

If you need a safety colored shirt your only option is the 6.1oz 100% pre-shrunk cotton blends. These are available in both safety green and safety orange (yeah the ones that are blinding). They are called safety colors for a reason, to keep your crew safe. Let us help you save money by calling us with a list of your needs. Keep in mind some factors may get you a better deal including:

  • Quantity ordered at each printing
  • Number of times shirts are ordered per year
  • If the artwork stays the same every time the job is printed

Finding the right T-Shirt Companies

Things to look for in a good phoenix t-shirt company:

  • Availability to print your job
  • Type of ink used
  • Type/Brand of shirt used
  • How the ink is cured

We have heard it time and again that so and so’s t-shirt company missed their deadline and now they have no shirts for their event. Really?? How does this happen? I know we can’t always plan for the unexpected but shouldn’t the screen printing company plan for deadlines? All of our jobs are booked and scheduled for production according to the clients deadlines. Make sure you choose the right t-shirt companies in Phoenix for your job. If a job is due 3 weeks down the road and we have everything ready 2 weeks early we make sure we print it early.
